Dear Phyllis,
Although none of us can fully grasp what has happened, I have an image of Jerry looking at me and saying that everybody should focus on the good times and their blessings that we’ve all had and not to worry about
him. It’s easy to imagine what his instructions and advice would be, it’s impossible however, to carry out his wishes completely. I don’t recall an important meeting or discussion where somehow the
subject of his family was not raised in a loving, proud and appreciative manner. As I explained to my wife, I don’t remember working with anyone whom I admired more. It was not only his intelligence
and wisdom and work ethic, but it was his deep respect and caring for others.
Rather than ramble on making observations about things that you already know, I will simply say that I am sorry and truly regret that I did not meet Jerry and your family earlier in my life.
Sincerely,
Scott E. Mollen
